We are thrilled to share the wonderful news that our Patron and Bone Marrow Cancer Trust (BMCT) Honorary Life Member, June Leeming, was recently recognised at the prestigious Christchurch Civic Awards. These awards honour individuals whose service and volunteering have made a profound impact on the wellbeing of our city, and June’s recognition is a testament to her remarkable contributions.
June holds a special place in our hearts, having been an integral part of the Bone Marrow Cancer Trust since its inception in 1991. Her unwavering support, invaluable wisdom, and boundless generosity have shaped the Trust and made an enduring difference in the lives of tens of thousands of patients and families who have sought solace at Rānui House.
Through her dedication, June has exemplified the spirit of compassion and community that defines our mission. The heartfelt thanks of every individual and family touched by Rānui echo the significance of her contributions—a legacy of care that continues to inspire us every day.
At the awards ceremony, June was in exceptional company, joining others whose selfless efforts enrich our community.
