Ranui House is available to all out of town patients and their families who are attending any hospital in Christchurch. Patients from all hospital departments can stay at Ranui House. The House is owned and operated by the Bone Marrow Cancer Trust.
Families are able to live in Ranui while the patient is in hospital and children are able to attend local schools. If patients are well enough they are able to spend time with their families at Ranui, returning to hospital for treatment when required. Patients who are having outpatient treatment i.e. home dialysis, radiotherapy and even some bone marrow transplants are able to stay in Ranui while the treatment is carried out with daily visits to the hospital.
In some cases families stay for many months at a time and this accommodation becomes very much a 'Home away from Home'.
We provide family apartments and a supportive environment, dependent on the generous and continued support of people just like you.Make a donation today
